I started writing this years ago so basically this is going to be an accumulation of posts. I'll try to reorganize my thoughts into a coherent body of work. Let's start at the beginning. Barrack No' bama, is a Huge piece of shit. I know people that voted for him just because he is black. I only had this guy for about a month but I had work with him for about two years as a Drill Sargent in the US Army. The Troop (Company for you dumb ass Grunts and Marines) was about to loose four or five Drills at the same time so in order to have some type of prior leadership in all of the Platoons the CO decided to do the ole switch aroo. So, for my last several weeks at 5/15 Cav I got second Plt.'s Senior Drill. He was a seven and I was a six so he became our Plt. Sgt., he was a really good guy. I have nothing but respect for the man. My only bitch is, he voted for No' bama because of his skin color.
No matter how much I tried to tell him. I explain shortly. No' bama had and STILL has no experience. He was a "community organizer" (what ever the fuck that means) and then he had two years as a Senator. I'll explain. He was elected for a six year term. He was there for the first two, ( I'll explain some of his voting record) the second two he was on the campaign trail.
No' bama voted against Active Duty, Reservist, and Veterans of the US Armed Forces better than 70 times. That's seven zero against better pay, better food, health care, education benefits, etc, etc... His second two years or years three and four he had better than 100 no votes. He simply was not there. Betcha he got his check though. Stimulus time.
The 800 Billion stimulus package (of shovel ready projects) came out to be about 1.8 Trillion. Instead of building duck bridges and wasting tons of cash on "prevailing wages", we should have came energy independent. I'm not talking about Selendro. I'm talking about real fixes. We could have had people working before No' bama signed the bill in to law.
Once they had a plan and Congress approved funding (I'm talking about a real plan and real vetting, not this we need to pass the bill in order to see what's in it Bullshit, Pelosi is Freaking ignorant along with anyone that voted for her) it would've been balls to the walls.
If they came out and said we are going to spend X dollars on X plan, people would have been employed the next day. We can't have real energy independence without welfare, healthcare and prison reform. Here's the plan.
Energy independence. We buy all of the products that we are going to use in the US. This will put people to work immediately. Factories will expand they will add extra shifts and square footage. Everything from plastics to nuts and bolts. All made in the USA. An immediate need for carpenters to gas station attendants. Janitors to Plant managers.
I have written extensively on welfare reform so I won't do it here. We must get people off. How do we do that? Bite the bullet for two years instead of the rest of their lives. We'll need technicians, supervisors, managers, drivers, logistical coordinators, and yes doctors and nurses to care for these folks. All of which (except for doc's) can be accomplished in two years or less. We make people get a job! We'll have to or should pay for everything. Housing, food, transportation, tuition, etc...Then they're off for life. No more government assistance. The reply to, "well they ain't no jobs here" is Mother Fucking Move. Period.
I have written about health care reform. Please look it up. Bottom line, you can't do it without Tort reform.
Jail/Prison reform. I'm not going in depth here because I have another post coming but here's the jest. First and for most everything a prisoner/detainee uses, wears or eats should be made in house. I recently had a fun filled stay at two county jails here in KY for $3401.60 in back due child support that I did not owe. The child in question was 21 years of age and a Hooters girl. Child support ended when she turned the "age of majority" which was 18 according to my divorce decree. Some asshole county attorney decided to issue a warrant for FTA or Failure to appear. I still don't know the date, time, or location of that appearance but anyway. Two hours away the warrant was issued and the local PD knocks on my door to arrest me. Because of my "medical condition" I was thrown in the hole. Four days later I get this little packet of a tooth brush, tooth paste, and soap. All of which were made in Mexico, China, etc... Everywhere but here. After my four days in the hole, a Whitley County Deputy came to pick me up and take me to where I "broke the Law" or FTA. They took my cane away and threw me in the drunk tank for two days. After that I was put in general population and given another bag of the same stuff. BTW, in eight days I never had a towel. If the system is that burdened with inmates, why are inmates not making them? When did it become "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" for someone to get up in the morning and go to work? Everyone on the outside must do so!!! Getting to the point they should be self supportive. Make one jail produce the body wash, soap, shaving cream, shampoo, (All In One). Then ship it to the rest. Apparently we're paying for shipping from China and other places now, it shouldn't cost anymore to ship less distance. Have another prison make towels, etc... Most importantly all jails/prisons should be like the one in AZ. I'm talking about tent cities and chain gangs. if you will. Think about how many 1000's and 1000's of miles that are double lane with grass growing on the side and in between of the roadway. Inmates should plant, cultivate, cut, harvest, load trucks to move switch grass, corn, etc..., to plants that turn it into fuel. We should have inmates making the hand tools. Now we are not only putting them to work instead of hanging out in the air conditioned cable ready dorms, but they are learning trades, ie... Welders, seamstress, plastic extruders, etc.. and instilling some work ethic and discipline. Are we going to have fights and people that just won't do it? Sure but most will fall in line because the penalty will be worse.
Solar energy. We should have miles upon square miles of solar farms in this country. Doesn't matter if it's in the middle of the desert. Maybe we build new tent cities so the inmates can go out and dust the panels off and take care of some light maintenance. Got a guy doing five years, gets out in three for good behavior, at least he has some experience with the panels. Maybe set up programs to have apprenticeships so they can get a job when they get out. Every new construction building should have solar panels on the roof. The remaining should be retrofitted with in ten years. Houses and commercial alike (where applicable). All made, transported, installed, and maintained by American workers. From nuts and bolts to rubber gaskets, American Workers!!!
Wind and wave farms. We have thousands of mile of coast line and the wind blows constantly with the jet steam. Waves and tides go in and out everyday. Countless amounts of energy we can harvest and utilize. Nothing more than the waves push a magnet through a copper coil and gravity pulls it back down. Again Free energy.
All cars coming off the line should be electric or at least hybrid with in five years. We'll still need gas but at a much lesser demand. We'll need diesel for trucks, equipment, trains etc... But even freight trains should be hybrid. There is no reason why we can't pull electric line for them to feed off of. Coal mines will still operate but instead of producing electricity they can produce diesel fuel and export the excess. As parking lots become recharging stations, we'll see less and less gas stations.
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!!! We'll always need replacement parts and equipment. We'll always need technicians, etc...
Once the initial infrastructure is paid for, Americans should have free energy. All we'll need to pay for is maintenance.
Jobs equal tax payers and tax payers equal zero deficit.
